Featuring musicians from almost every continent (sorry Oceania and South America), the epic new album retains the same sound the Police brought to the world forty years ago, while the new artists put their own twist on it.

Andy McCluskey’s internationally renowned four-man crew have had a re-rise to prominence in the last decade, with the aforementioned 2017 release of ‘The Punishment of Luxury’ topping the UK’s Independent Chart. Now, six years later, ‘Bauhaus Staircase’ is set to be their most anticipated release since the group’s 2010 reunion album, ‘History of Modern’.
Today, the American pop group FORAGER released their debut album, titled ‘Pipedream Firewood’, on major DSPs. The eight-track album will be the group’s first major project since their formation in 2021, and follows up the group’s two year run of releasing singles and touring their local area, where they packed local venues full of fans and raised the roof with their energetic anthems.
Yesterday, Netflix announced the release date of the smash hit crime drama Top Boy’s soundtrack album. Produced by legendary musician and composer Brian Eno, the new album will come in vinyl, CD and digital format, and will be releasing as early as September 1st for digital release and the 29th for physical formats. This is the first time in its 12-year broadcasting cycle that any music produced for Top Boy will be publicly available for audiences to listen to.
On Tuesday, comedian, actor, and now musician Kyle Gordon released the first single, titled ‘Planet of the Bass’, off his debut album, ‘Kyle Gordon Is Great’, on streaming platforms, along with an accompanying music video on YouTube. The highly anticipated lead single’s music video features DJ Crazy Times and fictional character Ms. Biljana Electronica (created by Gordon and three TikTok content creators).
Yesterday, British rock band You Me At Six announced that their most recent album, ‘Truth Decay’, would be getting a unique treatment akin to no other; a limited edition zoetrope vinyl disc release, with 2,000 copies printed for sale. The album has received critical acclaim since its release 6 months ago, and has performed exceptionally well on British charts, reaching #4 in the UK.
Yesterday, legendary guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Andy Taylor announced his first solo album release since ‘Dangerous’ in 1990. The new album, titled ‘Man’s a Wolf to Man’, will be releasing on the 8th of September, 2023. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Taylor has suffered through a number of disheartening events, including his prostate cancer diagnosis – events that he documents on several songs.
Legendary American rock band NEEDTOBREATHE have announced their highly anticipated ninth album release, ‘Caves’, due on September 15th. The eleven-track long LP follows up their 2021 album, ‘Into The Mystery’, which was their fifth consecutive chart-topper on the Christian Music charts, and features several special guests from across the music industry.
Following up her release of her latest single, ‘Coiled’, Alice Gerlach, better known as alice does computer music, released the accompanying piece – her debut album, ‘Shoegaze 5G’ – on streaming platforms on August 4th. The long-awaited album from the Chicago-based indie artist has been in the works for a significant time now, but we can finally see the fruits of that work take shape. Last week, on August 4th, Irish songwriter and singer Cian Ducrot released his highly anticipated debut album, ‘Victory’, on all major streaming platforms. Ducrot has been hard at work behind the scenes since 2018, and ‘Victory’ is the culmination of that work, celebrating everything he’s worked on since then, including an EP, a mixtape and a wide variety of singles and collaborations with other artists, including touring with platinum-certified singers Ed Sheeran and Ella Henderson.
Released last week, the group’s newest album has already topped several iTunes and Spotify charts worldwide, with its lead single, ‘Nightmare’, being equally as successful. The new album was conceived as a prequel of sorts to their first album, ‘Day One’, which released in February 2016, and shows the band’s stylistic evolution since the release of their 2013 self-titled debut EP.
