Duane Hoover’s New Single, ‘She’d Tell Me Over And Over’, Brings With It A Bright And Cheery Nostalgia

Sounding every bit like an early Beatles single, ‘She’d Tell Me Over And Over’, by Duane Hoover, brings with it his characteristic bright and upbeat style, as he sings of falling head over heels in love – and not only being unable to resist, but also having no desire to do so.

While the lyrics are simple, they’re no less heartfelt, and they also manage to provide the perfect accompaniment to Hoover’s instrumentation; bass and electric guitars, 4/4 percussive rhythms, and – most delightfully – bells, give the track the homespun vibe that’s so typical of the 6os British Invasion sound he’s been channelling for the past few years.

Taken from his third album, ‘Sharade Parade’, ‘She’d Tell Me Over And Over’ is yet another example of Duane Hoover’s talent for recreating a nostalgic sound from the past, while at the same time imbibing it with all the qualities of the modern age.

‘Sharade Parade’ was released on the 24th of July. Listen to ‘She’d Tell Me Over And Over’ below, and find out more about Duane Hoover and his music online on his official website, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
