Rick Tyson Oozes Charm And Intimacy With ‘Call Me Don’t Text Me’

‘Call Me Don’t Text Me’, the new single from Florida-based singer-songwriter, Rick Tyson, entrances the listener on an electronic sonic journey. The track is accompanied by an equally mesmerising music video.

As a teenager, Rick Tyson had a brief sojourn as a rock singer, but he dropped it for a successful career as an entrepreneur. He returned to music in 2020, and through his solo career he pours his passion into every track, each release more innovative than the one before.

Rick Tyson’s tracks defy genre boundaries, ensuring they resonate with a wide range of listeners. His sound goes from poetic ballads, to spirited anthems, and sultry grooves in between. All the while he showcases his musical and storytelling talent, and his music videos provide a stunning experience for the viewer.

‘Call Me Don’t Text Me’ pleads for an intimate connection in a world that is dominated by the digital. He asks that his lover speaks to him on the phone, rather than merely texting – or sexting. The style of the track gives off a futuristic vibe, with fresh electronic instrumentation – a nice contrast to the message – even in these modern times, there’s nothing that beats hearing the voice of the one you love.

The music video gives the viewer a treat for the eyes to match that of the ears. With playful energy, we see the woman who is the subject of the track, multiplied infinitely, and bathed in vibrant lightscapes, hypnotic, mesmerising, seductive. The narrator exchanges playful banter with her; “don’t tease me, just please me”, and as the mobile phone ringtone plays, it’s clear it’s had the desired effect – she calls him.
