Fusing Asian vibes with western pop stylings, Yurifa’s new single, ‘Lovin’ Me’ is the latest release in a stream of singles. The dance track, which is accompanied by a music video by Yusuke Oikawa, was produced by Grammy nominated Ray Reel, and five time Grammy Award winner, Candace Wakefield.
Yurifa grew up with the best of both worlds, having both European and Asian heritage. An artist in the truest sense of the word, she sings, acts, and paints, and studied at the world famous Central Saint Martins art school in London.
Opening with a heart-pounding beat, Yurifa’s vocals are pure pop – they’re sassy and clear as she establishes herself as a strong and powerful woman. She’s calling the shots, and the men in her life know it.
‘Lovin’ Me’ is an upbeat song, with the video set in Japan and embracing aspects of Japanese culture, including traditional housing, and Geta sandals. The clip focuses on the love between the singer and a man who appears very distracted about everything; one minute he can’t concentrate on TV so he starts exercising, the next he’s out dancing on the rooftops. Clearly he can’t get Yurifa out of his mind!
Yurifa’s ability to blend cultures means that this talented artist is well able to perfectly create dance-ready tracks that will have you up on your feet in no time.
