Jedward are behind the 25th and final door of our Essential Advent Calendar for 2017, with a very special charity auction to raise vital funds for St Vincent de Paul, Ireland.
As ambassadors for St Vincent de Paul Ireland this year, John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, have been raising much needed funds for the charity, and were the faces of their ‘Twinning Campaign’ (“Donate with Style, Volunteer with Passion”) in October, as well as the ‘Stuff A Bus’ campaign in Belfast, a joint venture between St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.
John and Edward have been raising awareness of the charity, and have kindly donated their custom-made black and gold snake-skin patterned jackets. The jackets are autographed, and sold as a pair, and are available at auction until December 29 on eBay. The auction is open worldwide, with St Vincent de Paul posting the jackets to the winner regardless of what country they live in.
You can find the listing for the jackets here on eBay.
Although not strictly a Christmas song, Jedward’s ‘The HOPE Song’, is nonetheless appropriately seasonal, with its lyrics encouraging us to not just to have a little hope (when the world gets cold) but to also go and find our purpose, claim our destiny, and discover a world of possibility. In these dark times of political unrest and instability it’s good to remember that life doesn’t have to be all about doom and gloom, and it’s possible to make a positive change in not just our own lives but in the lives of others.
Have a Little Hope! Merry Christmas!
