Kimberly York Joins Forces With Classic City Wrestling On New Single, ‘Fun’

Out now, ‘FUN’ is the new single from Kimberly York. The song comes with an equally fun music video, featuring Kimberly getting down and dirty, performing double duty singing and getting in the ring and wrestling.

In a collaboration with Classic City Wrestling, a part independent live wrestling, part rock-and-roll show situated in Athens, Georgia, Kimberly and her band are clearly having a good time in the music video for ‘FUN’. The song is already upbeat and exuberant, but this is taken even further with the video, which shows them having messing about with stuffed toy snakes, gimp masks, capes, and general tomfoolery.

York even steps into the ring herself, dressed in a spangly blue full-length leotard, her hair in ponytails on top of her head. She gives it her all – singing the whole time – as she jumps off the ropes into the arms of her opponent, who she somehow manages to defeat. These clips are interspersed with footage of her singing with her band, in a variety of costumes.

It really feels like York has taken a step forwards with her sound, and is more pop than the soulful country of her previous releases. Of course, her Kentucky roots are still evident, but listeners are brought along for an adventure with ‘FUN’ that York is certainly happy to share.

‘FUN’ is out now, and you can watch the music video for it below, and find out more about Kimberly York and her music online on her official website, Facebook, and Instagram.
