Elijah – ‘Raw’

A native of Brooklyn, Elijah takes his inspiration from every aspect of his life, whether it be a night out, a casual chat, or a random thought. He’s undoubtedly influenced by his City, and it has a deep impact on his sound and the words he sings, with his moody RnB style reminiscent of The Weeknd, and an energy clearly influenced by Michael Jackson.

Elijah’s latest single, ‘Raw’, is pure RnB; it’s dark, yet because of his gorgeous vocals, along with the alluring video, it’s smoothly accessible and catchy.

The video also takes a dark turn – to match the provocative song it’s gone down the same lines. Set in Madame X, in Manhattan’s Soho, known as “the sexiest bar in New York City”, we are taken through the dimly lit lounges, after hours. Elijah and his admirer make sure their party of two doesn’t get any larger. Sexy, sultry, and alluring, in just three minutes Elijah establishes where he wants to be – “beneath the stars and above the law”.
