New Single ‘Rough Sex’ Sees Cheflodeezy Collaborate With Marcy Chin

Cheflodeezy’s style goes in a stark new direction in his latest track, ‘Rough Sex’, featuring fellow Jamaican dancehall artist and international sensation Marcy Chin.

With seductive and erotic beats, which were originally given to Cheflodeezy by 23-year-old Grammy-Nominated music producer Benjii Yang during the pandemic, the music for ‘Rough Sex’ is as sensual as the lyrics portraying the song’s subject matter. Cheflodeezy experimented with the beats and recorded the track himself, before reaching out with the team at Artekal to Marcy Chin to collaborate on the track’s remix. The pair found they had incredible chemistry when performing, and were able to convey to the audience their deepest and darkest desires, vividly expressing the song’s intent.

Directed by Steven Barnard, the music video for ‘Rough Sex’ perfectly captures the song, and was shot in a remote location in the Californian desert. The clip follows Cheflodeezy and Marcy Chin to what appears to be an abandoned gas station, a location which allows them to let out their innermost fantasies. Footage of the duo singing outdoors is interspersed with clips of them becoming intimate inside the gas station store, and while on the surface it may appear to be a celebration of this style of love-making, the prominent display of a neon cross as they perform inside means they are always conscious of just how far they should go. Likewise, the viewer is asked to remain aware themselves.
