If there’s anyone guaranteed to ring in Coachella in style, it’s global pop star and activist SHAB. Marking one of the festival’s most iconic years yet – think Sabrina Carpenter and Madonna’s historic ‘Like A Prayer’ duet, Justin Bieber’s early-hit nostalgia, and PinkPantheress’ stylish performance bringing British dance-pop overseas – it was not one, but two weekends to remember.
Let’s dive into SHAB’s Coachella diary, where she shows us the behind-the-scenes moments, the side of Coachella you don’t see, her highlights, festival style, and more…
There’s lots of parties…
Coachella may be one big musical party in itself, filled with musicians, actresses, models – you name it. But there are also heaps of celebrations under the Palm Springs heat throughout the weekend, as shown by SHAB’s attendance at L.A. Magazine’s Road to Coachella, where she put on an electrifying performance. She added, “The team from L.A. Magazine could not have been nicer.”
The best sets were the unexpected ones…
“I am a huge fan of The xx,” SHAB shared. “It was terrific to see their stark black-and-white visuals combined with their iconic sound.”
And while Justin Bieber’s YouTube-scrolling, slightly understated set caused a wave of controversy, SHAB found the format refreshing. “I also thought Justin Bieber’s performance was more interesting and unexpected. The reality is that he was able to surprise everyone with his stripped-down set simply because, for more than 20 years, he has been JUSTIN BIEBER.”
Thanks to that nostalgic performance of Beauty and a Beat, we couldn’t agree more…
SHAB might have discovered the Coachella go-to outfit…
Thanks to her brand Droptrou – a collection of sleek, stylish bodysuits designed with a zip function to avoid the awkward process of fully undressing for quick changes – her festival practicality problems may be solved for good.
Sporting a light blue suit throughout the weekend labelled with the title of one of her most infectious hits, ‘Dirty,’ the look feels tailor-made for pop stars and performers alike.
“That would be totally insane if Madonna were wearing a Droptrou bodysuit – but you could absolutely guarantee she’d choose the cheetah print!” she shared, reflecting on the iconic stage moment between the pop icon and Sabrina Carpenter.
As for other performers: “Sabrina Carpenter, the girls in Katseye, Karol G, and Slayyyter could all pull off wearing Droptrou.”

The Coachella survival kit is small but necessary…
“Lots of bottled water, throat lozenges, a Boom Boom nasal stick, an external phone battery for recharging, and my cowboy hat to shield me from the sun!”
What more could a girl need?
Looking ahead…
On a final note, a SHAB Coachella set would be full of surprises. “I absolutely would have been showcasing some of my new songs,” the artist shared, having recently unveiled her soulful duet ‘It’s On You’ featuring Preston Harris.
And as for those new songs?
“I’ve been back in the studio over the last six months and could probably do a whole set without performing any of my previous releases. You’re going to see a slew of these new compositions during 2026.”
We’re just as excited for this new music as we are for the next Coachella – and if this is any indication of SHAB’s rise, it may not be long before she’s lighting up the festival stage herself.
