Premiere: Multifaceted Artist Meresha Returns With New Single, ‘Better’

Essentially Pop is proud to premiere ‘Better’, the new single from Meresha.

Regular readers will know the name. We’ve been championing Meresha since 2016, and we’re always happy to hear from this artist. She has so many strings to her bow – vocalist, songwriter, performer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and producer. On top of that, she’s a pioneer of the genre #AlienPop, which gives an otherworldly twist to pop.

Meresha is a veteran of the Billboard charts, she won the MTV “Freshman” competition, and her album, ‘Enter The Dreamland’, was selected as one of the top 20 of the year – globally – by AllMusic. Extra TV declared Meresha “an exciting and otherworldly talent.” It’s pretty clear that she’s set herself apart from other artists in the industry, and we’re proud of what she’s achieved so far.

Meresha’s latest release, ‘Better’, serves as an anthem of empowerment and renewal. With a vibrant pop vibe, the track serves as a showcase for her powerful vocals, pairing them with unique beats and soulful melodies. The track is a highlight of her upcoming mixtape of the same name, and comes with a stunning visual, directed by David Rousseau, best known for his work with Pitbull, Shakira, and Nicki Minaj.

In the clip, we see Meresha at first failing to find love, only to then find someone who is BETTER BETTER BETTER. We can all aspire to that! The strong retro vibes of both the setting and Meresha’s own outfit, work well with the vibrancy of the pop track, whose catchy melody and upbeat tempo hark back to an earlier time, and will have you bopping along, and as this is just one of many of Meresha’s offerings, hopefully you’ll check out her back catalogue as well!

Check out the gorgeous music video for ‘Better’ below, and be sure to follow Meresha online, to keep up to date with what she’s got happening, on her official website, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
