Brooklyn Based Frederick Charles Project Share Retro Goodness In Latest Album – ‘Back To Old School’ 

Released August 25, ‘Back To Old School’ is the new album from the Frederick Charles Project. Based in Brooklyn, New York, they album came about after a health scare for the project frontman, Freddie Singer.

The nine track album, which can be streamed and downloaded here, will get you up and dancing from the very first note of the title track and album opener, and you won’t want to sit down until the end of the last song, ‘Raise The Fahrenheit’ – chances are you’ll actually want to play it all over again!

Horns, organs, guitars, and funky vocals are the hallmarks of ‘Back To Old School’, and it’s certainly an album set to spice up your life. Speaking about he album, Freddie Singer said,

“While lying in a hospital wondering if I’d make it through another day, I thought, I have all this music that people wanted to hear. If I make it through, I have to get it out there and give it a chance to be heard.”

The band is densely populated with a range of trumpets, saxophones, synths, guitars, and backing vocalists, and they come together in a celebration of life and pure fun. In addition to the opening track, other songs of note include ‘Lucky Seven’, with its immensely danceable bass and rhythm guitar licks, and the romantic lyrics of ‘Cherished Moments’ and ‘Stars Above’.

Recorded in his home studio, surrounded by his nearest and dearest friends and family, Freddie Singer manages to convey a community vibe reminiscent of times gone past, that is so needed in this day and age

Freddie Singer has been on a lifelong musical journey, beginning with his performances in bands as a young teenager, playing bars and clubs while still underage. Along with his previous bands, THOG, and Dimensional Sound, he’s played at New York City’s Prospect Park, Central Park, as well as Manhattan clubs such as Kenny’s Castaways, and Great Gildersleeves.

Alongside Freddie writing the songs, performing on keyboards, and providing vocals, the album has had the following contributors:
