Rapper Ninebay Jakub Has ‘Found Love’ With New Single And Video

Ninebay Jakub takes his inspiration from other rappers such as Kanye West, Jack Harlow, and Mac Miller, but overall his sound is all his own. The video for his latest single, ‘Found Love’, comes ahead of the release of his upcoming full length record, ‘Ninebay’.

A fall saw him shatter both his wrists, ending Ninebay Jakub’s promising career in football, but you can’t keep a fighter down, and he decided to turn his energies to music. Ohio is in his blood and the midwest certainly inhabits his sound, but the young rapper now bases himself in Florida, where he’s allowed the sunshine and sunny vibes to influence him.

‘Found Love’, his latest release, is a song for lovers, and it serves as the perfect soundtrack for you to kick back with your beloved, and think on what life was like before you met – and how you never want to return to that state.

With a beat produced by Eddy Rock, Ninebay documents the highs and lows of love that we go through before finally finding “the one”. The beat is hazy and seductive and serves as the perfect foundation for Ninebay’s one-liners that lead up to the chorus, before opening up to fuller, more impassioned verses.

Ninebay’s lyrics might be laid back, languid, and laconic, but there’s no doubting the passion of his feeling, and the heartfelt emotions call to mind fellow emcees such as Drake.

Meanwhile, the music video, directed by Ninebay’s friend, collaborator, and fellow Florida resident, Mogul, reveals even more of the artist’s vulnerability. We see him standing in his adopted hometown of Fort Myers, palm trees surround him, and he lays his heart on the line. Special effects such as multiple images of Ninebay, as well as smoke effects help to build the tension while maintaining the tropical aura. You can check out the video for ‘Found Love’ here.
