Speaking exclusively from their home in Dublin, Irish duo Jedward were interviewed by Christine Lampard this morning on ITVs ‘Lorraine’ show.
John and Edward, dressed in matching red jackets and black tshirts, told the host that they had planned to tour this year, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, were forced to postpone it until February 2021. Christine asked them about their recent album, ‘Voice Of A Rebel’, as well as their current single, ‘Taste The Heat’. The pair mentioned that they have so far directed four videos for songs from the album, and the next one will be ‘Extraordinary’, set for release next month. Christine played a clip from the video, and we can confirm it is a very mature video from the pair.
Edward revealed that while they’ve been in lockdown they’ve been taking time to look after their health, and he had seen a doctor about his knee, which he had first injured 10 years ago and had surgery for, but was now troubling him again. He said he will be having an operation on it in two weeks’ time, which will then require six weeks’ rest, but he assured fans he would be up and about well and truly in time for their concerts next year.
Further into the interview they talked about how they have been in talks with television production companies to put together a new TV format for them, something in the style of The Late Late Show with James Corden, where they will give their guests the opportunity to speak at length, rather than short interviews.
