Interstate Snake Delivers The Kind Of Track Built For The Big Stage With ‘Jersey In The HOF’

Haris Barekzai puts in plenty of time during the day as a service manager at a car dealership, but by night he becomes Interstate Snake, a rapper with a deep, raspy, and soulful voice, whose sound sets him apart. His new release, ‘Jersey in The HOF’ sees him channel the intensity of a NFL pre-game montage, with every bar and line loaded with football metaphors.

The track is driven by a steady piano line, with sharp hi-hats, while Interstate Snake’s delivery is commanding and powerful. There’s championship imagery all through: Mahomes no-look passes, Lambeau leaps, and undefeated seasons, comparing the grind required for hip hop success to full-body contact sport. An anthem of resilience and respect, ‘Jersey In The HOF’ is fierce, yet motivational, and serves as a rallying cry for anyone who is determined to make it, and leave a lasting mark.

The music video for ‘Jersey In The HOF’ takes Interstate Snake’s vision and brings it to life in all its glory. Shot entirely on the football field of a local football field, it has all that we’ve come to expect of a hip hop clip – flashing chains, and beautiful girls – with the addition of football jerseys, game-day drills, and sports-style animations that could easily have been used in a pro sports broadcast. While there’s plenty playful moments, Interstate Snake brings his message loud and clear: success is earned only through preparation, pressure, and perseverance, and there’s time enough to celebrate – in the video this is represented by him having a jug of water poured over his head – when all these things have been achieved.
