Sorina Keifer Sings A Protest Anthem With ‘AMERICA’

The social and political upheaval in the United States has been making headlines for nearly a decade now, sending ripples of uncertainty around the globe. German artist, Sorina Kiefer, has applied her talents to her new single, ‘AMERICA’, a protest anthem accompanied by a cinematic music video.

Originally a dancer, Sorina moved in her twenties to focus on acting and singing, whereupon she discovered she was also a talented songwriter. What started as poems was transformed into music, and her songs spoke to struggles both personal and societal. Her new single, ‘AMERICA’, sees her deliver a bold statement on the current political climate in the US, and using her platform to plead for change.

Driven by high-powered, rhythmic drums, and led by piano and Sorina’s commanding vocals, ‘AMERICA’ is inspired by the political and social upheaval in the United States, while the song seeks to address the artist’s shattered illusion of the American dream. Written to show solidarity with the US, and express her grief in the face of the nation’s tumult, the track’s powerful arrangement is matched by hard-hitting lyrics. Sorina channels her pain and frustration into a compelling work of art: listeners are engaged in reflection on where the country is headed, in this timely message.
