Dublin Band Bouts Ask Us to Be ‘Allies’ With New Single

Bouts 1

Check out the video for ‘Allies’, the latest release from Dublin band, Bouts.

Fun and frivolous, the video is the perfect accompaniment to ‘Allies’, which is the second release from their upcoming EP, ‘Unlearn’, set for release via limited edition cassette (YES) on February 29.

Comprising Barry Bracken, Colin Boylan, Daniel Flynn and Niall Jackson, the four piece describe their music as indie guitar loudness, but it’s so much more than that. Bouts are several parts pop and several parts rock, with all parts fun. Their big guitar hooks take the listener to the top of the mountain and then drop them off the other side, with Bouts laughing manically on the other side. Or something like that.

You can find Bouts online on Twitter, Facebook, and their website. ‘Unlearn’ can be pre-ordered from their Bandcamp site. At only €5, which lets you download it digitally as well, so you can keep playing ‘Unlearn’ long after your cassette tape has stretched beyond recognition, you’ve no excuse not to. Do it now.
