Take A Walk With Diane Gentile and the Gentle Men With Their New Single, ‘Walk With Me’, featuring Alejandro Escovedo

Come for a stroll around New York City with Diane Gentile as she sings her new release, ‘Walk With Me’, featuring the celebrated roots rocker, Alejandro Escovedo, as well as Diane’s band, The Gentle Men.

Although Alejandro is from Texas, he still knows the New York scene well, and as they duet, it’s like he and Diane were born to sing together. Alejandro’s grace and understanding is conveyed in every phrase, while Diane’s beautiful rock vocals and harmonies convey a sense of resilience and hopefulness.

‘Walk With Me’, is taken from Diane Gentile’s album, ‘The Bad And The Beautiful’, a record that serves as the culmination of a life well led in the appreciation of rock music in The Big Apple. Accompanied by The Gentle Men, comprising pianist Rob Clores, multi-instrumentalist James Mastro, and guitarist Jason Victor of the Dream Syndicate, Diane has also obtained for the album the services of E Street organist Charlie Giordano, Studio G stalwart Oscar Albis Rodriguez, UK folk-bluesman James Maddock, and Jesse Malin. None of these overshadow Diane’s vocals; they know their place is to support her, and support they do.

The music video for Walk With Me’ sees Diane walking around the heart of New York’s Chinatown, and the Lower East Side. Shot variously in stark black and white, and subdued, cloudy colour, the camera follows her to the pedestrian plaza by the Brooklyn Bridge, past the classic architecture that is characteristically New York, and down to the park at the edge of the East River. She checks out the offerings in a record store, takes in the view over the river, and sits alone in the audience of a talent show. It’s been a fun walk. Let’s do it again sometime.
