Love Crushed Velvet Are Looking Into ‘The Future’ With Their Latest Rock Single

Love Crushed Velvet are a part of the rising scene of New York City’s modern contemporary music, and, fuelled by both heartfelt melodies and pent-up rage, they seek to break through the relentless materialism and opulence on the surface of everyday life, to reveal the city’s true grittiness.

Formed in 2008, the alt-rock band which is led by singer songwriter A.L.X., their songs have found a home on the front page of many an electronic music blog, resulting in attention from not only fans, but also a position as a featured artist in the game Rockband 3. Fusing classic rock, post punk, and modern alternative music, Love Crushed Velvet have a unique edge as they explore the dark underbelly of the city that never sleeps.

Love Crushed Velvet’s new single,. ‘Future’, sees the band take their listeners on a joyride of pure fun and carefree abandonment. The solid backbeat, bold hooks, and electric choruses, by way of cascading guitars, thumping drums, and gritty vocals give listeners a deeper look into the band’s talent for crafting tracks of substance. Meanwhile, the video that comes with the single is hypnotic and compelling, as it follows a robot marching in a futuristic setting, rebelling against the prevailing powers. The message rings out loud and clear: we should never fear going against the grain; our future is what we make of it.
