There’s A ‘Remnant’ Left By Ignescent’s New Single

‘Remnant’ by Ignescent tells you pretty much everything you need to know about this fourpiece. Clearly they’re fierce and ferocious, and quite plainly have an incredible live presence, honed by countless performances.

Comprising guitarist Ty Moreland, bassist Ian Sebastian, drummer Joshua Garcia, and sensational vocalist Jennifer Benson, they have their singular talents but as Ignescent they come together as one, a single, irrepressible force.

‘Remnant’, from the band’s upcoming EP, ‘Ascension’, is an anthem of perseverance, and reinventing one’s self after misfortune. All four members are performing at their absolute peak; as Jennifer Benson sings of her battered, yet unbreakable spirit, she is fully supported by the rest of the group with their tremendous musical strengths. Together, they serve as a testimony of rock’s most inspiring and uncompromising identity.

Chicago natives, Ignescent are well known throughout the Midwest, and new EP ’Ascension’ sees them well-positioned to take the nation by storm.

Director Joseph Davis Castleberry provides ’Remnant’ with a video that showcases the band at its most animated. While he uses concert footage, he imbues it with new life, playing with light and shadow, odd and unexpected angles, strange illumination, steam, sweat, and ghostly reflections. Castleberry captured all the danger, joy, and excitement of the Ignescent live experience in this clip, and if you’ve got any taste at all for hard rock, it’ll surely whet your appetite for the upcoming Ascension tour.
