The Essential Advent Calendar: December 23 – Linda “Peaches” Tavani Tells Us What’s On Her Grown Up Christmas List

Beloved R&B singer Linda “Peaches” Tavani has topped music charts, been nominated for Grammys, and has countless fans around the world. Most famous for being half of duo Peaches and Herb, Linda also has had success with her husband Stephen Tavani, as well as a solo artist. Now Linda is getting ready for the holidays with her new festive single, ‘My Grown Up Christmas List’.

‘My Grown Up Christmas List’ is Linda’s powerful plea to help heal a world in crisis. Healing, unity, human understanding, an end to conflict and suffering, and the speedy arrival of a time of peace: these are all things Linda is searching for.

Peaches’ rich, sonorous voice communicates much excitement as she calls on her gospel roots. ‘My Grown Up Christmas List’ feels ready to become an instant Christmas classic: Peaches’ delivery anchors it firmly to the spiritual tradition, which is fitting, given it’s not just a Christmas song, but also a plea for divine intervention.

In the video for ‘My Grown Up Christmas List’ we see both sides of Linda “Peaches” Tavani. She is both the star oozing charisma, and also the searcher for spiritual solutions. We see her working hard, performing on stage, dressed in glamorous gowns, signing autographs, and spreading cheer to her fans around the world. And we also see Peaches hard at work in the studio, pouring her heart into her melody. We propose that Linda’s Grown Up Christmas List will be the same for all of us; and that the world will be a better place in 2022.
