SHEL – ‘You Could Be My Baby’

SHEL1

‘You Could Be My Baby’, SHEL’s first release since signing to Dave Stewart’s DSE label, is a work of art. With a riff reminiscent of ‘Dancing Days’ by their beloved Led Zeppelin, it’s a beautifully crafted song, featuring pitch perfect sibling harmonies and gorgeous musical accompaniment.

The video too is striking – with lush colours and an olde-worldy feel about it, it’s polished and perfect. Directed by Roger Pistol and his team, it’s a slight departure for the band from their home-grown videos, but it’s clear SHEL have had considerable creative input, as it retains a lot of the personality of their previous work.
