Ron Brunk Releases ‘Wander In Wander Out’ From Album, ‘Sheperdstown Rocks The Cosmic Tranya’

Taken from his 2022 album, ‘Sheperdstown Rocks The Cosmic Tranya‘, new single ‘Wander In Wander Out’ sees Ron Brunk examine how people can enter one another’s lives, become important, and then sometimes, just disappear without a word of explanation.

In speaking of the song, Brunk says, “I yearn to connect with every person I possibly can, and never to lose that connection”.

The lyrics for ‘Wander In Wander Out’ take place in a bar-room, where each individual present is focusing on their private musings. Brunk imagines them being consumed by thoughts of love, ambition, fear, and missed chances, as well as the limits of his own resolve. With lines such as “I’d like to change the world the way I change my mind / I’d like to be somebody, but I can’t even be on time”, and “There’s no answers in the back of the book, all you can do is try and try”, the song becomes so much more existential, while the chorus returns it to its original premise, as customers wander in and out of the bar – just like the people in our lives.

The music video for ‘Wander In Wander Out’ takes that melancholy and renders it as a world of black and white pencil animation, with figures moving through the story, like illustrations in a notebook. Meanwhile, a broken heart is replaced by reunion and dance, leaving open the chance that just some of those people who wander out may well at some point wander back in again.
