Christopher Wyze & The Tellers Return With New Blues Release, ‘Tired Of Your Low Down Ways’

‘Tired Of Your Low Down Ways’, the latest release from Christopher Wyze & The Tellers, is the third single from the band’s new album, ‘Naptown Blues‘, their re-interpretation of the music of Leroy Carr and Scrapper Blackwell.

Written by Leroy Carr, ‘Tired Of Your Low Down Ways’ captures the moment when disappointment finally turns into departure for the narrator.  They’ve had enough of being mistreated, abandoned and taken advantage of, and yet still they return again and again to one conclusion: “when I leave you baby / I’m going away to stay”.

Their grievances mount as the verses continue. He’s been left alone through the night, and so he declares, “I’m through with you”. His money keeps disappearing, and he’s reached the point where he’s no longer able to just sit still, deciding that he has to pack up and head further down the road.

The accompanying lyric video follows the song’s story, as it traces a relationship that’s reached its breaking point. The visuals closely follow the narrative, as the protagonist finally decides to leave and start a new life.
