GaREE ALL Releases Latest Spoken Word Track, ‘I Just Can’t Afford YOUR Love’

Continuing to break the mould, GaREE ALL returns with his latest single, the very amusing, ‘I Just Can’t Afford YOUR Love’, which draws on snippets from real life encounters, as well as from his own imagination.

At an earlier time in his life, GaREE found himself in a relationship that was filled with incompatibility, at least when it came to material things. In the music video for his new single, ‘I Just Can’t Afford YOUR Love’, he drops us right into the middle of the confession of a man who knows who just doesn’t have the monetary means to satisfy his lover.

Set to a gentle country instrumental, GaREE drops witty quips, relayed somewhere between spoken and sung word. It’s a heartfelt poem, his rich southern drawl stretching out some of the syllables to their very limit, and by the end, we’re convinced that he’s much better off without her. Despite the fun they’ve had together – which he’ll never forget – her tastes are too expensive for him, and there’s also her interest in Scientology – yep, we’re with you GaREE.

The music video for ‘I Just Can’t Afford YOUR Love’, brought to life with HIP Video Productions, fills in any gaps that the listener might have missed. We see the lifestyle of those who are filled with the desire for money and drama, and how much of a contrast it is for people like GaREE, who’s laid-back and organised. While he’s not saying he’s swearing off love, he’s rather swearing off a love that demands too much, and letting go of the girl who’s just “not a keeper”. He lets her down gently, “I’m sure you’ll always have a bit of a place in my heart, but I swear by Heaven above: I just can’t afford YOUR love”.
