She’s had a lifelong obsession with Agent 007, so that has certainly helped!
New single, ‘Catch Me’, is a striking example of what’s to come, with its Bond film elegance and sound that reminds listeners of the power ballads of ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Diamonds Are Forever’. Produced by Kendra’s close collaborator, Damon Sharpe, with whom she co-wrote the song, the song’s bassline leaves us in no doubt of its inspiration, and instantly snaps us up out of our mundane lives to somewhere a bit more intriguing. Speaking of the track, Kendra says, “‘Catch Me’ is playful, powerful, and filled with that sense of danger and glamour,” she says. “It is a song about confidence, attraction, and staying just out of reach”.
The music video for ‘Catch Me’, crafted in collaboration with HIP Video Productions, sees an animated Kendra, a bombshell on a mission. Action-packed and multi-faceted, this gem of a clip raises the stakes at every turn, playing out like a feature film, with card games in neon-lit casinos, high-speed motorcycle chases, and battles in Rome, Tokyo, Las Vegas, and finally, in Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower, no less. She’s got a view to a kill, and isn’t afraid to use everything she’s got to achieve it.
