Cowboy Mouth Return With Rock Track ‘Patty (With The Rose Tattoo)’

Veteran New Orleans band Cowboy Mouth are back, with their deep love for their city and Southern musical culture, and new single, ‘Patty (With The Rose Tattoo)’.

In the heady rock and roll lifestyle, one may encounter from time to time unforgettable characters that remain in your memory forever, just waiting to pop out when you least expect. One such character, ‘Patty (With The Rose Tattoo)’ is the kind of woman, surrounded by a crew that “you should never cross”, and with her “dead black eyes” and “smoky growl”, she’s like an animal on the prowl, as she sinks her teeth in and doesn’t let go, bewitching even the most unsuspecting patrons. As the narrator tells the story, he’s aware he should know better, and not get caught up in it all, but he’s powerless to resist her siren call – not to mention the rose tattoo on her shoulder. With its retro rockabilly groove amping up the feelings of youthful rebellion, he finds himself slipping deeply into the dark, with her grip tightening with every hook. He’s mesmerised, and too far gone already, unable to escape the thorns of the rose tattoo.

The music video for ‘Patty (With The Rose Tattoo)’ weaves together clips from iconic films, where femme fatales have their way with unsuspecting men, pulling them in with their allure. Interspersed are scenes of the band playing, and the end result is a fun, high energy clip, where viewers will find themselves a part of the action.
