Nya Releases A Declaration To Her Star Power With New Single, ‘My Tears Grew Roses’

An Essentially Pop favourite, Nya returns after a year’s absence with her new single, ‘My Tears Grew Roses’.

Nya’s last single, ‘Beauty Comes From Pain‘, released in October last year, saw her transformed from a scorned angel into the luminous soul she was always destined to be; from a mere performer to the powerful star she is. Splitting her time between LA and Uruguay, Nya has over the past year been honing her irresistible stage presence, while also crafting and recording her debut full-length album, as well as reconnecting with her acting roots.

Nya is carving for herself a reputation as an incredible talent, highlighted by her remarkable range and discipline, and is well on her way to becoming a celebrated actress. Music, however, remains and will always be her first love, and she’s set to make 2026 her biggest year yet.

Latest single, ‘My Tears Grew Roses’, is a sweepingly epic anthemic ballad, that is rooted in the belief that, like the name of her previous track, ‘Beauty Comes From Pain’. The song is a showcase of her formidable vocal prowess, as Nya sings from the very depths of her soul, with each word clasped tightly to her heart before being sent heavenward. Each element of the song, from the gentle piano melody, to the shuffling snares, and the cinematic strings, is allowed their time to shine, before being stepped back just enough, to allow Nya to take control. The end result is a testimony to everything she has ever stood for, and overcome, a manifesto to standing tall and trusting in your own strength to raise you to where you belong.

The music video for ‘My Tears Grew Roses’ sees Nya as she joined Lindsey Stirling on tour across the US and Europe last Autumn. It was Nya’s first tour, and as was pushed to her very limits, it took a mental, physical, and emotional toll on her. However, the very thrill of getting out on that stage, the heat of the spotlight, and the love of the audience in front of her, gave her the strength to carry on. The clip serves as a visual scrapbook of that tour, with each clip, both on stage and behind the scenes, commemorating this pivotal and important step in her career, and shows her as not just the artist who released her first single nearly a decade ago, but also as the artist who is confident and blooming.
