andrew reed & the liberation Captivate With ‘Thunder In My Soul’, The First Of Their New Prog Rock Trilogy

andrew reed & the liberation captivate their listeners with a prog rock trilogy following the adventures of Cezar. First of the trio, ‘Thunder In My Soul’, manages to capture the wild, and untamed energy of the project, in a single track.

Rooted in themes of history and fantasy, and loosely based on the annals of Julius Caesar, ‘Thunder In My Soul’ sees andrew reed & the liberation given Cezar a progressive rock treatment that makes him more rock god than all conquering Roman Emperor.

The opening foray is a pivotal moment that sees the odyssey become truly epic. With a pipe organ setting a haunting tone right from the start, classic rock power is fused with a spiritual intensity that wows the listeners. The guitar solos can be described as soaring, even statuesque, as they take the track on a plane higher than ever before. The track tears at the very seams of the universe with its larger-than-life arrangement.

The music video is part-real life band footage, and part animation. Cezar stands high over his subjects, a looming figure in red, sword unsheathed, winning over the masses with his hypnotic charm and massive ego. He is the great one, the all powerful. A god amongst men. It’s a great start for what is yet to come.
