New York’s Folk-Americana songstress Rachael Sage is making a captivating return this spring. In anticipation of her forthcoming album, ‘Canopy’, she is set to grace multiple UK venues this May, bringing her signature blend of whimsical and heartfelt songwriting back to the stage.
Her tour kicks off on May 13th at The Troubadour in London, where she’ll be joined by special guest Maddox Jones. She will then appear at The Great Escape, as well as intimate venues such as Prohibition in Liverpool and Forty-Five Vinyl Café in York. Spanning nine dates, Sage will be accompanied by her dynamic trio, The Sequins, who add depth and texture to her acoustic arrangements. The ensemble features acclaimed violinist Kelly Halloran (Lainey Wilson, Michael Franti) and rising blues-rock harmonica virtuoso Will Wilde (Walter Trout).
Following the success of her reimagined album, Another Side, Canopy promises even more masterful storytelling, infused with 1970s influences and rich folk soundscapes. The collection of songs unearths resilience, longing, and the irrepressible determination to find light in the darkest places. At its heart is the title track and first single – an anthem enriched with a warm embrace. As fans eagerly await its release, Sage invites them into her distinct musical world this May.
Having spent the past year opening for artists such as Will Young, Lulu, and Hue and Cry, Rachael Sage continues her ascent as an electrifying live performer – one not to be missed.
