Out now, and available on all streaming platforms, ‘Rise Up’ is the stirring new track from singer-songwriter, Blake Rave.
Produced by Dan Weeks and Dan Barracuda at WeeksWeeksWeeks Studios in London, it was written on an acoustic guitar, with the initial vision being that of a slow, more melancholic piece, but while working in the studio it became a more powerful and upbeat call to action.
‘Rise Up’, a stand out track on Blake Rave’s album, ‘Home’, sees the artist deliver a message of hope, inspiring his listeners to embrace their creativity, harness their tenacity, and unite in the face of life’s challenges. The message is one that will resonate with listeners as Blake sings, “The time for complacency is over”, and “If we want change, we need to take action”, and can be interpreted as both personal and political.
‘Rise Up’ is an extremely catchy song, whose chorus could easily serve as an anthem for anyone, but especially those who feel marginalised, as it cries out to stand up and be counted, it’s our time to shine, to make and be the change in this world.
Singer-songwriter Blake Rave, originally from South Dakota, but now starting a life for himself in the UK, explores love, resilience, and self-discovery with his music, which tells raw, introspective stories that strike a chord with his listeners.
Blake Rave’s debut album, ‘Dreams & Fears’, garnered him a nomination for “Outstanding Pop Artist” at the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards in 2019. Outside his musical career, Blake is an advocate for the LGBTQ community as well as an active supporter of charities and wellness initiatives, ensuring that the platform he has been given is used for good.
