Paris Bennett – ‘Opposites Attract’

Paris Bennett was an irrepressible teenager when she appeared on season 5 of American Idol. The season is possibly the best in the show’s nearly 2 decade history, having given the world the likes of Kellie Picker, Chris Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, Taylor Hicks, Mandisa, Katharine McPhee – the list seems endless. Given the success of all these, it should come as no surprise that Paris is ready to make her name known, and with her winning style and mastery of the likes of pop, soul, classic rock, jazz, show tunes and standards, it’s certain that she’ll be the name on everyone’s lips in the not too distant future. Latest single, ‘Opposites Attract’, accompanied by a gorgeous animated lyric video created by Oliver Twixt, shows that she’s not lost any of that blitheness, nor innocence, that saw her win the hearts of millions of viewers.

‘Opposites Attract’ is pop in its purest form, a love song which wrings out every ounce of emotion and drama, and makes sure we’re also on board with it all. The clip mirrors the sunshine and optimism of the song, and with its bright colours gives us the last hurrah of summer that we’ve all needed.
