There’s Two Types Of Music, And Banned & Outlawed Are ‘Keepin’ It Western’

Banned And Outlawed are the poster child for all things Canadian country music, and their new single, ‘Keepin’ It Western’ is a fine example of their sound.

Comprising brothers Jon and Daniel Hnatishin, the country-rock duo started out playing fiddles when they were toddlers, before progressing to writing and recording their own music, intertwining their personalities with their instrumentals and lyrics.

New release, ‘Keepin’ It Western’, is an anthem dedicated to their rustic Canadian lifestyle, and sings the praises of living the life of a countryman. It’s filled with all the blood, sweat, and tears of patriotism, while showing how great their lives are, from the rising of the sun at cock crow, to the going down of the same. Twanging country vocals, southern rock guitar riffs, and rapid drum fills show that they’re proud of every moment of their lives, especially those out on the farm.

The music video sees the pair pulling up in their red Dodge, dressed head to foot in country clobber, banjo and six inch cigars in tow. Backdropped by haystacks, they rock out in their farmyard, paying tribute to the lives they have had so far.
