We’re Having A ‘Slam Dance’ With DEF MACHINE, Featuring Frank Nitt, Diggidy, & VOIS

Our second offering from DEF MACHINE, ‘Slam Dance’, is as different from ‘Break Thru’ as it possibly could be. It’s a different kind of high to the spiritual sort in the previous track; there’s still plenty of singing, but there’s also dancing, and hanging out together all night, with a fast-paced rap set to strident drums and a screaming electric guitar.

Here’s where the Beastie Boys comparison comes into play, with the hard-hitting rap from the artists matching the pace of their 80s forebears. Spliced effortlessly with heavy metal guitars, and it’s a sonic experience for the ages.

The music video for ‘Slam Dance’ sees the band playing in a club, surrounded by colourful graffiti, and wild effects. The extreme lusts and excitement in the clip make it seem like they are the very people being targeted by Diggidy in ‘Break Thru’, but as he’s in this one too, perhaps he’s also speaking to himself.

You can watch ‘Slam Dance’ below. DEF MACHINE and their music can be found online on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
