The ‘Smoke Clears’ As Dylan Taylor Releases New Rock Track

Based in Nashville, Dylan Taylor has been always been surrounded by music, and her journey began when her father taught her about the impact of songwriting on people’s lives. From there she turned to those artists she most admired, watching their career trajectories, before becoming a musician herself.

Nowadays, she’s aware of her own power in music, and after creating magic with other musicians over time, Dylan has stepped out on her own, combining her rustic vocals with a fusion of Americana and Rock’n’Roll.

Dylan Taylor’s latest single, ‘Smoke Clears’, harks back to the old days of rock’n’roll music, telling the story of being afraid of allowing your true feelings to show. Do we exhibit our pain and deep anger in public, letting it explode, destroying everyone and everything in its wake, or somehow release it without hurting those around us? With jangling guitars, tambourines, and upbeat rhythms, Dylan has a rock anthem and a half, as she sings an anthem we can all relate to.

The music video follows the story of a young girl as she sets out on a ghost hunt in her own home. As her imagination takes hold of her, she looks around for any signs of spirits, gradually gaining more confidence, and puts on the armour she needs to face the evil lurking about. Green slime ectoplasm is in abundance, but thankfully she’s ready with her polaroid camera, and with photographic evidence she’s the hero she needed herself.
