Kelly Morgan Doesn’t Forget What You’ve Done With Latest Drop, ‘I Remember PT2’

Kelly Morgan isn’t going to let you get away with anything, and her new single, ‘I Remember PT2’ sees her hold nothing back.

Kelly Morgan has always been surrounded by music, starting with her grandparents, who gave her a love for melodies and harmonies, courtesy of grandfather’s singing and her grandmother’s gentle piano tunes. It should be no surprise then to discover she wanted to be a singer from her earliest days, and in elementary school she was inspired by Whitney Houston, into following her dreams to be an entertainer.

This led to when she was 16, standing on the stage at the Apollo, hosted by Steve Harvey. She was fuelled by the mixed emotions of the audience, and determined to succeed all the more, and from there actively seeking out competitions and talent nights. Through perseverance and determination, and despite some scepticism from her parents, she fought her way to where she is today.

Kelly Morgan’s new single, ‘I Remember PT2’, shows something of her willpower. She holds nothing back in this club banger, and her soulful vocals hit just right with the dance beat keeping time. It’s a pop song with a twist, filled with earthy soulful old-school R&B vibes.

The music video for ‘I Remember PT2’ saw Kelly collaborate with friends and dancers to create the a striking accompaniment to the song. Filmed in a studio in Atlanta, and directed by Christian, the aim was to showcase diversity, while at the same time evoking a nostalgic feel. Seamlessly, scenes of memories are woven into present-day reflections, by way of projections showing the highs and lows of previous relationships. While the bulk of the clip is in black and white, it’s highlighted by bright neon colours and special effects.
