Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Ray Davies

Some local groups in Austria like TurboBier or Alkbottle, some do not exist anymore
Are there any genres of music that you would like to experiment with in the future?
Yes, Americana – a genre and style new to me as European
What was the inspiration behind “Gold Is What the Girls Want”?
I watched women rubbing their noses on the shopping window of a jewelry store. Some go in and when they come out they have the gold – and the man has a glowing credit card. We have exclusive jewelry stores in Vienna and elegant ladies in there. With a twinkle of an eye I made the lyrics saying that girls may like chocolate and flowers, but what they really want is gold.
How do you approach writing songs like “Gold Is What The Girls Want” while having a global audience in mind?
Everywhere people like gold. Look at India or China. Women like gold as well in the USA. I do not need to think about a global message, my song’s story fits all over the world. And I think people smile about my lyrics.
What was the experience like working with director Heinz Riemer on the music video for “Gold Is What The Girls Want”?
Heinz Riemer is a buddy always cracking the whip.
Haha, joke. My real name is Heinz Riemer.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
Well, I felt quite comfortable when my song reached Nr.1 in EuroIndieMusic – and WorldIndieMusic charts and also when I received awards at international film festivals (in the category Music Video).
What is next for ViennaCC?
The world is full of inspiration, you only have to look and listen. I am collecting ideas. I cannot predict the result, but I think there will be songs.
