Ryan Collins x Ty Taylor Capture The Frenzy In ‘The Madness’

In another dream collaboration for Rob Aster and his music production boutique, RRHOT LLC and record label, iDreamology, award-winning hip hop artist Ryan Collins and soulful powerhouse Ty Taylor come together in their new project, ‘The Madness’.

With his keen eye for observation, Rob Aster was tasked with capturing the frenzy of March Madness in a single track. Naturally, he delivered, after recognising the potential of the collab between Ryan and Ty.

Ryan Collins has been finetuning his formula for viral success since 2012, garnering millions of views on YouTube and across other social media platforms. He’s also landed a vast array of sync placements, capturing the notice of the industry, and resulting in recognition by the Independent Music Awards, and the Maryland Music Awards. Collins blends genres like butter, as he fuses hip hop with pop, rock, country, and many more. With ‘The Madness’, we see him tapping into the resolve and fearlessness that elite athletes bring to every single game, and his voice carries the drive to match.

“March Madness” sees US basketball fans prepare themselves for the best season of their calendar. While it’s not spring, it’s nonetheless a special time, when the stakes on the court reach their heights; the top college teams from across the country are pitted head to head, until only one remains. The atmosphere is supercharged, and is deserving of a soundtrack equal to that energy. ‘The Madness’ takes its inspiration from soul trailblazers such as James Brown, and adds to it the funk of Prince, and the hip hop rhythms of The Roots. It fully captures the spirit of March Madness in every note and bar.

Guitars weave in and out of driving drumlines, developed by Collins, while Taylor’s vocals are suave and sultry, lifting the spirits of listeners and amplifying the eager excitement of fans, because “it’s the madness they adore”.

The music video for ‘The Madness’ gives viewers a front-row seat on a performance of a lifetime. A packed theatre sees thousands cheering on Collins, Taylor, and their crew on the stage, as they bring with them their shimmering dance moves and rippling instrumentals. The room is filled with an hysteria to match the reality of March Madness, as the fans throw their hands in the air and sing along.

Created in tandem with Eli Lev of Lev Studios, the animated anime clip sees the start of an ever-expanding RRHOT and iDreamology universe, and plants the seeds for a seemingly endless landscape of music and art.
