Xavier Toscano ‘Keeps It Tight’ With First Of Three Songs From His Latest Album, ‘X Marks The Spot’

We last wrote about Bay Area pop singer-songwriter Xavier Toscano in 2021, but he has been a long-time featured artist here on Essentially Pop, with his music gracing our pages since 2016. Xavier believes that pop music is the essential soundtrack of our lives, and as he grew up listening to the artists that made up modern pop, he realised very early on that what he wanted to do with his life was write, record, and sing pop songs: he’s been doing that ever since.

It never rains but it pours with Xavier Toscano, and with ‘Keeps It Tight’, the first of three songs we feature today, we’re hoping to get you hyped up to listen to all 29 tracks from his latest album, ‘X Marks The Spot’.

‘Keeps It Tight’ is a synth-heavy two-step dance track, club ready with a shed-load of swag. The irresistible rhythms will get you up and dancing, while the accompanying music video, with its colourful costumes and choreography will give you some inspiration for looks and moves. Directed by Benjamin Jones, the clip shows Xavier and his crew having a great time on the dance floor, and there’s loads of fun elements, such as fruit (a nice touch being bananas flying past as he sings the word “crazy”), cool costumes, and outrageous wigs. Al the while, Toscano and his posse show they can keep it tight, while soaring to the very heights of fashion and dance.
