Josie Cotton Is ‘Painting in Blood’ In The Third New Single From This Incredible Singer Songwriter

Paying tribute to Ennio Morricone, as well as giving a nod to the classic Italian giallo horror films, the music video for ‘Painting In Blood’ sees Josie Cotton channel Gina Lollobrigida, as well as some Nancy Sinatra.

There’s spatters on The Colosseum when Josie Cotton visits Rome in the clip for ‘Painting In Blood’. Maintaining her 60s retro vibe, Josie namechecks Morricone while jangly guitars and keyboards open before dipping in favour of pummelling drums and her beguiling vocals. The music video has lyrics in Italian across the bottom of the screen, increasing the sinister giallo vibe, while mini-skirted starlets, with sky-high beehives, take their final breath before being dramatically slashed.
