The Real Meladee Is Ready To ‘Set The Tone’ With Gorgeous New Video

The Real Meladee, out of Tallahassee Florida, is both versatile and resilient, exciting, reliable, and relatable. While she’d be the first to admit she’s inspired by other female artists in her genre, there’s something about her that stands out; her goals are her own, and not any that she’s imitated. She gains inspiration from the things that she sees and feels, and she takes this into the studio every time she goes to lay down tracks.

‘Set The Tone’, her recent release, has proven to be an underground hit. Making waves with more than 36K views in its first two weeks on YouTube, it’s showing that The Real Meladee is a force to be reckoned with.

Speaking about ‘Set The Tone’, Meladee said,

“With this record, I’m letting it be known that I see myself taking over. I bring something fresh and new to the table as a rapper, and I aim to set the tone for everyone in the genre, male and female.”

The video for ‘Set The Tone’ was directed by It’s Mason Productions (IMP), and was shot at a range of events in Miami. Opening with a snapshot of The Real Meladee’s digital life – messages and comments from prominent rappers and other entertainment industry people figure prominently on her Instagram profile – we then see her riding in a classic Corvette on her way to the mall and the recording studio, where she goes on a shopping spree before spitting her truth-bomb bars. She’s fresh from the top of her head to the soles of her feet; and she’s on top of the world.
