Out now, ‘The Girl Next Door’ is the dreamy debut R&B release from London artist Romerro.
With a heavy bass R&B instrumental, as well as trap-infused beats showcasing the artist’s seductively raspy vocals, ‘The Girl Next Door’ tells the tale of when he had a massive crush on their next door neighbour. Romerro says:
“She lived with her mum and it was so close to home I just couldn’t find a way to approach her, instead I’d find myself going over conversations and scenarios in my head if the moment ever came to pass”.
Emerging artist Romerro focuses on the power of emotional expression in his sound, rather than the minutiae of ensuring the music is absolutely perfect. In so doing, he manages to make an incredibly relatable track, which exposes his honest and innermost thoughts, and allows him to explore more deeply those themes which most of us can relate to: romance, passion, and confusion.
