TikTok superstar boy band Here At Last have released their debut EP, the aptly named 8-track project titled ‘EP1’. Featuring both a mix of previous singles and all-new tracks, the debut project topped the iTunes charts, despite being released independently. This newfound independent success comes due to the band’s so-called ‘HALO Army’ – their massive fan base, which mostly comes from TikTok, where they have millions of followers.
Like many other bands of the 21st century, Here At Last were formed through social media, where the five individual members of the group found success posting clips of their music online. They bonded over their music, eventually forming a quintet before the 2020 lockdown. Due to the newfound restrictions due to COVID-19, the group moved in together to keep the dream of becoming a big band alive – a dream that eventually panned out brilliantly, as the group grew quickly among social media audiences due to a mix of the quality of their music and their interactions with fans. They have quickly become one of TikTok’s most successful groups, and now seek to reach out even further with their debut project, ‘EP1’.
‘EP1’ features some of the band’s most famous, instantly recognisable songs, with previous tracks like ‘Happy’, ‘All In’, ‘Bloodshot’ and ‘Lovesick’ being part of the track list. A new, previously unheard track, titled ‘Let Go’, also joins the mix for audiences to listen to for the first time. The tracks, both old and new, come with that iconic Brit pop sound accompanied by smooth vocals, which mix to create yet another brilliant project for listeners to enjoy.
