Ghost Hounds Take The ‘Last Train To Nowhere’ With Latest Single And Cinematic Video

For as long as there have been trains, people have been singing about them. This is no less so for rock musicians, and with their latest single, ‘Last Train To Nowhere’, Ghost Hounds channel the power of the steam engine, along with all the beauty of speed, and the uncertainty of an unknown future.

Led by Tré Nation, the band from Pittsburgh is causing the rest of the world to sit up and take notice. Their third album, 2022sYou Broke Me’, took their blues-drenched country-rock sound and imbued it with a power and passion that’s won hearts and minds across the US and beyond. And while they could rest on their laurels for a bit, they’ve instead come back with a fourth album that should raise their profile even more. Ghost Hounds have opened for the likes of The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Bob Seger, and Garth Brooks, as well as praised by both American Songwriter and Billboard. They’ve had millions of streams, and they’ve found sponsorship with legendary guitar makers Gibson, a name that’s synonymous with rock at its purest and most uncompromising.

‘Last Train To Nowhere’ is a beautiful demonstration of the band’s instrumental prowess, serving as a showcase of their mastery of blues rock and country music, while at the same time feeling absolutely contemporary. The music video likewise manages to stretch across eras and motifs; on the one hand it’s an adventure in the Wild West, while on the other we see Tré Nation in the guise of a worn out manual labourer in the New York City underground. While riding on the subway, Tré falls asleep, dreaming he’s a passenger on a beautifully outfitted steam train, surrounded by passengers in gorgeous period dress. Tré however is the focus of everyone’s attention – up to a point – but we won’t spoil what happens for you – watch below!
