Spider Rockets Are Unapologetically Fuelled By Rage And Inner Power With New Single And Video, ‘Monster of Your Dreams’

With frontwoman Helena Cos raining down vocals on the electric riffs of guitarist Johnny Nap, the listener feels like they are standing in the eye of a hurricane in new single, ‘Monster Of Your Dreams’, from New Jersey band Spider Rockets.

Spider Rockets explore the terrors that threaten us in our dreams and that extend into the immediate waking hours. With distorted riffs and pounding drums, they bring to the fore a sound of disturbed confusion, while Cos is both seductive and sinister, as she wails of a menacing presence, with lyrics that mock the insanity of temptation and our ever increasing to those things that subtly draw us out of our peace. The tempo rises with Nap’s magnificent solo, before Cos brings it all to a close with a finishing chant.

The music video for ‘Monster Of Your Dreams’, directed by Jason Nappi, is filled with clips of Cos and Nap’s favourite thrillers, while featuring the band members as they find their way through a nightmare. The band is shown steadily losing their way in insanity, while Nappi drops in clever horror tropes. It’s well worth a watch below – if you dare.
