Las Vegas Funk And LoFi Project Bad Sneakers Release New Album ‘Tanooki Suit’

‘Tanooki Suit’ is a devilishly strange and wonderful release from Las Vegas project, Bad Sneakers. With a Satanism theme throughout the album it gets even more mysterious when you discover that it’s coming from an anonymous, conceptual artist, who deals heavily with mythology.

Bad Sneakers sees themselves as freedom fighters, dedicated to Soleism, which is the belief that,

“the journey of life was represented by the path one took, and that one’s sneakers, or soles, were a symbol of that path.”

While this all sounds a bit serious and even sinister, Bad Sneakers’ sound is overall catchy and even a bit fun, with song titles such as ‘Live, Laugh, Lucifer’, and ‘Fuck Around’. Musically the sound should appeal to fans of the likes of Oingo Boingo, and Mr. Bungle.

Speaking of the album, Bad Sneakers says,

“This album is inspired by the tenets of the Satanic Temple, with strong themes around Satan, Anarchy, Vintage Video Games and Anime.”

‘Tanooki Suit’ is set for release on April 7, and can be pre-saved on all streaming services here. Find out more about Bad Sneakers and their music online on
