Christian Parker’s New Single, ‘Spirit Of The Trees’ Is A Touching Homage To A Friend

Christian Parker‘s new single, ‘Spirit Of The Trees’, is essentially an homage to a friend. An adaptation of a poem, written by the wife of a friend before she died, he arranged and set it to music, as well as writing extra lyrics.

While the message of ‘Spirit Of The Trees’ may well be one of mourning, it is not without hope, and the author sets forth the idea of being consumed as in a homecoming to mother nature. Parker is able to grab hold of the peace of the original poem, and by way of his mellifluous vocals and sparkling guitar playing, fully convey the true meaning.

The music video for ‘Spirit Of The Trees’ finds finds Parker playing his guitar surrounded by nature, singing and performing to both his natural surroundings and those who have passed on.

A kaleidoscopic filter gives the clip an ethereal look, with Parker in the centre of most scenes. The clip is moving and emotional, and provides the viewer with a new perspective on life after death.
