When Major Spark Tells You To ‘Run Run Run’, You Do It – New Single Will Have You On Your Toes

Comprising Mark Goodman and producer Brian Charles, Major Spark’s debut album, ‘Beautiful Noise’, sees them blend garage rock, power pop, and psychedelic sounds, with synth-saturated textures.

Add to this their drum loops and improv techniques, and you have not just a great album, but one that is chock-full of catchy songs that will have you returning to replay over and over.

The duo have solid backgrounds producing indie rock albums, and they bring these techniques to their own sound, such as the single, ‘Run Run Run’. Major Spark’s aim is to bring a positive vibe, and if the 60s tinged melody wasn’t enough, the sharp witted and incredibly memorable lyrics, such as “she’s got muscles like a stoner’s got weed” would definitely do it.

The music video for ‘Run Run Run’ focuses on the athletic side of the words, with archival footage of collegiate and high school sporting events, giving way to a modern depiction of a girl variously cheer leading, dancing, or just being gorgeous. The lyrics suggest the listener should take a drag at life – to go for it, to live life to the fullest, and we think that maybe – we just might.
