The Lights Are Turned On With N.C. Palma’s New Single, ‘Morning in the Dark’

N. C. Palma didn’t dare stand in the way of destiny when it came to pursuing his passion for music. In 2018, he had a chance meeting with Studio KAI’s founder, Vernon Hill, which enabled him to take his interests in hip hop from classroom freestyles to proper commercial releases. From there his hunger knew no bounds, and, forging his own sound somewhere between hip-pop, rap, and R&B, N. C. Palma set his focus on developing as a songwriter, as well as a creative. Hard core fans already know his talent: now N. C. Palma is reaching for a wider audience, with his new single, ‘Morning In The Dark’.

N. C. Palma is careful to ensure his sound tempers catchy melodies with inward-looking songwriting. He brings well-crafted ideas to the table in ways that on the surface are as just as surprising as they are incredibly catchy. Meanwhile, it’s with the video for ‘Morning in the Dark’ that he begins the start of a new chapter along his journey of personal development. Taking a deep dive into feelings of detachment and uncertainty, the dreamlike sequence in the clip is set alongside a performance of N. C. Palma, against a striking light show set design. ‘Morning in the Dark’ is not only memorable and elevated, but it also serves as a glimpse into N. C. Palma as the future of Hip Hop and R&B fusion.
