Star2 – ‘Real Life’

Hip hop artist Star2, who was born in a Thai refugee camp but now makes his home in San Diego, has long been a favourite of ours here at EP, and no less so with his new single, ‘Real Life’.

With ‘Real Life’, Star2 brings something new to the scene: a personality undefined by cosmetics. The track is a showcase of the artist – not only highlighting his immense melodic potential, but also shining a light on best attributes this rapper has got going for him.

Star2’s latest single sees him collaborating with Lil Poppa. The track sees them play off of each other’s delivery, making the song two halves of one whole, rather than a singular piece. At the same time, their visions are aligned, and their close musical chemistry sets them apart from many of the younger hip-hop artists rising up through the ranks.

The music video for ‘Real Life’ maintains the same narrative as the song itself. Star2 has gone through a lot in his short life, and he’s never let anything stop him getting what he wants. Star 2 is a rapper who is letting his dreams lead his professional campaign quite literally in 2021. With a poetic melodic rap style, he tells his story with heartfelt emotion, and in ‘Real Life’ we see him adding yet another gripping chapter to a tale that is already edge-of-your-seat enthralling.
