Sharon Hendrix – ‘Hold Me Tight (Feels So Right)’

Sharon Hendrix has had a whirlwind of a musical career so far, spanning five decades. She’s worked closely with the likes of Bob Dylan, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder, as well as pioneered new genres with Olivia Newton-John, Billy Cobham, and Dusty Springfield. Back in 1978, she toured with Barry Manilow and duetted with him on his popular 1985 version of, ‘Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing’. Now Sharon concentrates on her solo career, but like everything else that’s gone before in her life, it’s nothing short of sensational.

In Sharon Hendrix’s latest track, ‘Hold Me Tight’, she captures a rush of emotions through her sweet, mellifluous voice. Over her years of live performing and studio work with top shelf artists she’s managed to find the balance between delicate, airy vocals and smooth, groovy instrumentals, resulting in a relaxed atmosphere that holds you close like a warm hug. The music video for ‘Hold Me Tight (Feels So Right)’ sees Sharon look at ease in a silk gown as she glides from room to room, exuding an immediate wave of comfort and peace as she sings. The video ends with Sharon Hendrix cuddling up in bed with her Yorkshire Terrier wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with a quote by the legendary Doris Day, emphasising the importance of spreading kindness to all living creatures.
